The operating procedure
Before the recipe was even made, Hold Up gin and its bottle were influenced by several books including: In Cold Blood by Truman Capote and naturally for the “French touch” Position du tireur couché by J.-P. Manchette, On est toujours trop bon avec les femmes by Raymond Queneau and Pour venger Pépère by ADG. To add to the atmosphere, Wild at Heart by Barry Gifford, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov and Tokyo Vice by Jake Adelstein. There is the classic The Hound of the Baskervilles from Arthur Conan Doyle, and to add intrigue The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyevsky. Finally for its architecture, Faulkner's Light in August completes the set.
After the Hold Up book pairing, different methods of consumption are advised. With the mouthfeel, we discover a round and clear taste with a long finish. The sophisticated and aromatic blend will delight gin lovers, simply accompanied with tonic or other cocktails which make a compelling base.
